Our classes are unique, active, and fun!

Shine Kids Yoga is not just a kids yoga class! Inspired by educational theorists such as Howard Gardner and Maria Montessori, the YogaKids program blends the benefits of yoga and mindfulness with group collaboration and games and independent thinking coupled with art, story reading or other creative activity.

In every class, kids have fun and stretch through yoga poses, build their confidence and curiosity through exploratory activities and make new friends through yoga games.

Each class is different and is centered around weekly themed activities. Our classes explore themes like leadership, piece, friendships, environment, community, self-awareness and so much more.

Our Programs: Creative Movement
Get ready to move and groove! In this high-energy interactive dance class, students will learn dance moves including hip hop, zumba, creative movement, modern dance and a mix of other styles. Students learn to do more than just follow. They'll learn dance technique and a short dance routine.

The teacher will guide participants through a choreographed routine and provide them with the tools to individualize the movements. No dance experience required. This class is gamified and designed to support individual self-expression.

This class places emphasis on building coordination, improving musicality, and learning dance moves.

Developing physical strength and stamina
The program focuses on improving balance, flexibility, brain-body coordination and physical strength.

As children develop focus and awareness of their body, they also improve their overall well-being.

Developing greater emotional stability
We teach self-regulating techniques that are incredibly important to thrive in today's world and are necessary to cope with ADHD, anxiety and stress.

Children will learn mindfulness tools for quieting and focusing the mind that they can use at home, school or anywhere else.

Developing a strong sense of self
Self-empowerment, self-confidence, positive attitude - these are just some of the things that we focus on as we teach our program.

We encourage creativity and independent thinking through engaging activities, discussions, stories, and games.

All of our programs are appropriate for children who are new to yoga and dance, as well as for those who are continuing their instruction.
Programs for Schools & Preschools

Kids Yoga Club
An after-school program where elementary-age girls and boys grow in confidence as they practice yoga, engage in exploratory activities, and play games.

The classes allow girls and boys to develop a better understanding of what it means to be self-sure and confident of their power to positively affect the world.

The program also helps children enrich their mental and physical health and develop greater emotional stability.

Age Groups: 5 - 12 y.o.

Dance & Creative Movement

Mini Kids Yoga Club
A class designed to invigorate your toddler's senses with physical exploration and to develop a keener sense of body awareness. Movement games guide skipping, moving backwards, walking on tip toes, balances, twirling, leaping, crawling, rolling and wiggling.

We use props, musical guidance and adventure themes and stories to guide kids through a yoga class. Each adventure introduces developmentally appropriate yoga poses, kindness activities, calming techniques and concentration exercises.

Age Groups: 3 -5 y.o.
  • Program Details
    • Program runs on your schedule, typically 6 to 14 weeks.
    • Classes meet once per week and run 60–90 minutes.
    • Classes typically include 5-20 participants.
    • Although we prefer grouping kids by grade, we do allow mixed age groups.
    • We have enough curriculum to never repeat the same lesson twice.
    • Our curriculum includes exploratory and educationally-based activities aligned with the CASEL Social-Emotional Learning Standards.
  • Program Cost
    The cost varies according to the package you select and the duration of your program. Most often, parents pay for the program, though some schools subsidize it in part or in full. It is important to note that we have never encountered an impossible funding situation – we find a way to empower kids and teens no matter what.

About our Founders
Paulina K
YogaKids & Mindfullness Teacher
Founder at Shine Kids Yoga
For over eight years she has been working in different capacities with children of all ages, including children with learning disabilities.

Polina began her yoga practice when she was in high school and was surprised to find that yoga helped, not only her physical body but all aspects of her life.

She founded Shine Kids Yoga in 2019 looking for a career that merged her love of yoga and meditations with an interest in child development and education.

Liliana S
YogaKids & Mindfullness Teacher
Liliana discovered yoga out of a need to find a balance in a fast-paced tech corporate world. It didn't take long before this practice turned into a passion and developed a desire to share it with others. After her work hours, she taught the classes to her teammates where she realized that it became bigger than a hobby. Liliana believes that personal happiness starts with a mind-body connection, and that well-being of humanity and our planet depends on how we treat ourselves first. She is a 200hr-certified yoga teacher and has a BA in Conflict Study and Resolution. These days she enjoys gathering community around intention-based yoga classes, sound baths, and women empowerment workshops.
